WorkFit-A for Apple is International CES Innovations Honoree

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has the tagline “the global stage for innovation” and prides itself on being a conference that shapes the future. Today the show announced its 2014 Design and Engineering Awards Honorees and Ergotron’s newest WorkFit-A for Apple® Sit-Stand Workstation made the list!

2014_INNhonoree_LogoWhy is this important? We want the whole world to have access to healthier computing solutions, and we love that an international show like CES agrees! The WorkFit-A for Apple joins our proven line of WorkFit solutions and meets a big need for iMac® users—a sit-stand workstation that will mount their larger display without compromising the aesthetics of their technology. Now Apple users can enjoy all the benefits of sit-stand computing, like increase productivity, comfort and calorie burn.

See the WorkFit-A for Apple, the WorkFit-P for Apple, and the OmniMount ActionMount series on display at CES (booth #26115) in the Digital Health Zone—products that encourage the healthy use of electronics, whether at home or in the office.

No doubt we are happy when we receives this kind of recognition, but the thing we love best is hearing stories from the people using our products. If you have started a sit-stand journey, share it with us on social media—Twitter, Facebook, upload a video on YouTube—or share it wherever you share.

It’s a wrap

Another CES comes to a close. Was a busy week, meeting customers, checking out what’s new around the industry.  Many mornings started out slow, but sure enough, as attendees woke up late from an evening night out in Vegas, a steady flow of interested people weaved their way through the booth.

One gentleman stopped by who works with the visually impaired and he asked for a catalog. A few minutes later he was back, wondering how to use our solutions to help his clients. I showed him the numerous products that would fit his needs and his smile made my whole morning.  That is what we do, we help people. And that is what gets me up in the morning to keep coming back to long days in Vegas!

Overall, there were upsides to the lack of craziness on the show floor. Getting around was much easier. It seemed like people had more time to spend talking with us, which was great.

However, there were definitely fewer folks there. Here is EDN’s Senior Technical Editor, Brian Dipert’s thoughts on the the show in his post, CES 2009 An Attendance Decline Suits Many Folks Just Fine

Nice to finally unwind. Killing time as we wait for the crates.

The booth has been bustling with interested attendees from all over the world.  “What cool products” was heard often as the Ergotron team showed the Neo-Flex™ Combo Lift Stand and the new polished aluminum MX Desk Mount Arm.

CES has grown beyond just an event for the techies.  Education and healthcare buyers found instant applications with the new Neo-Flex WideView WorkSpace and Mobile MediaCenter.

Stopping by a PC World event, an editor bragged about how his fellow coworkers were jealous of his Ergotron solution.

The show floor is as crazy as always, from young men and women in their bathing trunks walking with surfboards to many stops for foot and neck massages due to the length of the days of the event.  Note to self, next time add an Ergotron LX Dual Side-By-Side attached to a chair so that the tired can check their email as their tired feet were revived.

A hot topics at the show included touch screen applications and going green. As the economy hits all of us, its time to work smarter.  What a great time to get that monitor to use along side your laptop and increase your productivity.

Overall as the second show day wound down, hearing “We love your products” never gets old.

One more day…

Wednesday! Our final day of set up before the show begins.  We’re just about ready to show you how to increase your wellness and productivity with products such as the Neo-Flex™ Combo Lift Stand, CES Award-winning Neo-Flex All-In-One, and the Neo-Flex Workbase, some of the new solutions we have on display out here.

Although it’s been a long day of hanging and twisting screwdrivers, the team’s long hours are sure to show Thursday morning when the show opens.

Here’s a picture of the progress. Sorry it is a bit blurry but it was taken from my blackberry. We’ll have real pictures of the booth once the show starts.

Looking to voice your opinion? Ergotron is unveiling a cool product concept, an interactive cart solution and we would love your thoughts!
